Hydronic heated towel rails do away with electrical heating elements as they are designed to operate as part of a closed-loop, pumped hot water heating system. A durable circulation pump can be used to circulate hot water from the geyser or solar storage tank to the heated towel rails and potentially pass through a water based under-floor heating system before re-entering the storage tank to be re-circulated. A solar or gas powered hot water system allows for grid-free electricity heated towel rails!
Hydronic units are supplied with a pair of regulating valves to facilitate the connection between the chased pipe work and the heated towel rail.
Hydronic versions of our familiar electric range are available by special order, we recommended that a qualified plumber is consulted to design and install any hydronic heating system.
